I'm not explaining this right. If I jog the torch to a spot on the table were I want it to start from and set X0Y0 it will move away from that spot and start burning. I just used this simple G code as an example this is happening on every part I create. It will move a few inches and start burning like it has an initial lead in that I did not set up. Does it figure in material size when it starts. I'm used to were I set X0Y0 that is were it should start its first cut it doesn't .
Chad gave me the answered I didn't see the adjust start point box under lead in lead out tab this what I needed to use to set up my start point. Man I felt like I was beating a dead horse . Big D thanks for the help to !
If I put it to cut on line it will generate the G code. I guise because its only two lines and not a solid part it doesn't recognize it as a male part. Its still not looking right I want it to start on the right corner.
ok... so Im a little confused on what you are trying to do. Everything is based on the x0 y0 coordinate. Our machines this is the LOWER LEFT CORNER. In the last screenshot you mentioned you want the L to start on the right. So before you generate the tool path DOUBLE CLICK your L to get into NODE EDIT MODE. You should have 3 nodes. Right click hold over the bottom right node and get into the options. Select the ARROW (start point) This will make this the "start point" so when you generate your ONLINE tool path that point will be the start. Hopefully this is what you are talking about.
See how it keeps coming from the far left corner all the way over to the right. I want it to start at were I set XOYO on my table.
So If I understand right. Were I set X0Y0 when setting machine zero on my physical table the machine is going to go off of were ever I located the part in Cad . I understand what was happening. I always set my drawings at the front left corner so when I want to start the cut on the right side of the table I need to put the part on that corner in Cad. Now I see what was going on. From the two pics you sent me. So when setting program zero on the VMD you need to take in to account were you orientated the part on Cads virtual table. I know the plan view also shows you were your part is on the table some times I will have to spend some time trying to orientate a cut on a left over piece of scrap. Some times I have to move the plate around to try and figure out were it will cut after setting program zero on the table.
You should only be setting your DATUM once. move the torch into the farthest x negative/y negative that you can CUT and set your DATUM point. All the rest SET PROGRAM ZERO.
