i do a lot of different work at the shop. Offroad parts are what I am more known for. We do a good amount of industrial sector work as well. Check out this guard. It's going inside an electrical control cab on a large crane.

This was cut at 400 IPM using the Torchmate 4800 and FlexCut 80. The material is 16 ga P&O.

Very nice. Is that your logo in the corner of the window?

From what I have heard, better quality and finish than hot rolled, no mill scale, and cheaper than cold rolled, you can buy it from your metal supplier like this.

Most steel suppliers have P&O. the mill scale is basically removed with acid and then oiled. Cuts much nicer. If you have ever received parts from a laser shop you have more than likely handled P&O. But yes, you order it that way. Typically the price is not much more.

nice to know I will certainly inquire about it , so its basically hot rolled steel with coating to prevent surface rust?

no it has the mill scale removed and simply has oil on it. It will rust much faster than hot roll steel.
