Something easy can be the most expensive to purchase. Things like small brackets and such can be so simple but yet generate a lot of questions of "what can I make?" We came up with a simple solution to a few different things in the outdoors. Being outdoorsy people having a stand for either target practice to holding a Dutch over a fire or even a pendulum grill. So instead of me talking about it check it out. This is the build of materials we used for this project. Equipment: Torchmate 4800 w/ FlexCut 125 Torchmate 4400 w/ FlexCut 80 Chop Saw Material used: (total) scrap of 11ga scrap of 1/2" AR500 (who has scraps of this??) stick of 1" pipe 18" chain 1" bolt w/nut. The first bracket was a tripod design. After some "testing" we determined the tripod wasn't a great idea but the internal chain holder was something to keep. So I took that middle portion and generated a rectangle. Took one of the holes and arrayed them into position inside the rectangle. So this is the final look at how it is set up. For the target itself you can generate any shape you are looking for. We have had a TON of different ideas thrown out but I guess you can be the final on what suits your style. The weight of the center piece holds down this on the ground so adding a hook for the campfire or cowboy stove would work perfect. You can adjust the height by just getting different lengths of pipe. Once done with just grab the top and collapse the whole thing. Easy... Show us pics of your targets and other uses. Chad
