I'm a long time user of my TM 4x4 growth series table, I was one of the first 4 to buy one. I have installed TM4 on my shop PC which controls the TM table. I have TM CAD which I use for all the nesting and tool paths.

I recently underwent a ransomware attack where I lost thousands of files...of which I am currently rebuilding from. I was trying to reinstall my TM CAD software, however with the dongle plugged in, the software won't install. I am wondering if the ransomware attack did something to the dongle??? I checked and there is no files on it, so I suspect it did?

I have sent three emails to TM for support, one is for the install files, which they sent me a link that day to. I tried to install and then discovered this dongle issue, sent an email to TM and haven't heard anything from them in 11 days, to which I sent a follow up email 2 days ago, no response...

    1. Any of you still using TM CAD with the orange dongle? Is there anything on it when you take a look in Windows explorer?
    2. I don't normally need TM tech support, last time I needed them was probably 6-7 years ago...is this level of customer service normal now? I hope not!

I also am one of the first to buy a 2x4 when it was first introduced, sales didn't even know about it.
I still use the orange dongle and it has 2 files dated 2/24/2011
    ProductS configuration setting 1kb
    ProductS LFC file 3kb

Ditto. This place is dead...that's a shame.

I'll send you a PM with my email address if you can send me those files? I assume the dongle is not controlled by those files, but needs them to operate?

I think the needed file can't be copied or used as copied. I seem to remember in the discussions on Pirate about backing up the dongle it wasn't as simple as copying the files. I'll be glad to send them to you though.

Mike, just want to say a huge thanks to you, although what you gave me didn't work...it helped me along. Guard that Dongle Number and Serial Number (within the .ini file). If you lose it, you'll have to buy the software all over again. I managed to find my install disc and it had the dongle and serial number sticker on it! So now I am having CAD Link generate a new .ini file for my dongle and serial number and I should hopefully be able to reinstall my full version of TMCAD!

You can find info on your dongle here (when you enter in the dongle number):

Sorry I couldn't directly help but I was glad to send you the files. Hopefully CadLink can fix you up.
