    Hi Everyone,

I am new to the site and have a few questions. I have been struggling to get my table up and running for actually over a month. Its a Growth Series 2X4 with a Cutmaster 102 attached to it.
My first problem was the machine diving every time on start or giving a "Limit Exceeded in Z, Position =-10.0000", it seemed like a Ohmic Sensing issue, which I bypassed by setting the height manually.
Once I did that I was able to get the machine to do successful dry runs... with the exception of it retracting at the end of the program followed by it plunging into the table right after.
Well anyways, if you have stuck with me this far, my current issue is when I do the active run, the torch comes down, pierces the plate and just stays on, doesn't move or anything until I have to manually stop it. My guess is the machine is not receiving the "OK to Move" signal from the cutter. At this point I really just want to see the table cut something, I am desperate to cut my first piece and want to know how to disable the need for it to get the "OK to move" signal.

    Thanks Everyone!

    Ok to move.

    1. Have you hooked up the OK TO MOVE? That might be the better solution instead of disabling it. To disable, it is in the BASIC TAB.
    2. The limit exceeded in Z is a Torch body adjustment. Use the Z jog ALL the way to the lowest stroke. Then loosen the clamps and slide the torch body until the torch tip with consumables goes past the top of the slat by about a 1/4". Clamp the torch. Now jog the z all the way up and RESET Z.

    3. I would recommend downloading the manual from the website to get better understanding of the connections to verify that your 102 is wired properly into the system.

After looking into it, it doesn't look like my Cutmaster 102 has the "OK to Move" output since it doesn't have the CNC interface board. Ill look closer into the internals to see if there is a port i can wire directly to. Ill let you know what my findings are. If anyone has experience with the Cutmaster 102, it would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I don't see how to disable the "OK to move" from the BASIC tab.

Click on Tool Library and for Tool 1 all the way to the right you can turn off Ok to Move, then you would just need to enter a Pierce Delay, where you enter your Pierce Height and Cut Height.

Thanks everyone for all the help, after months of trying to cut something I made my first cut last week. I found the OK to move signal and wired it correctly and got it to cut some circles.
I still have to figure out the Ohmic sensing and the voltage sensing since it still gives me an error when I try and use it.

    Chad,
I did re position the torch like you explained, but it hasn't stopped the torchmate from retracting at the end and then plunging into the table right after.

Again, thanks for all the help.

Press Reset Z at the top of its travel, ensure when the Z is at the top that you have 6-5/8" of distance between the tip of the torch and the top of your slats. Go to Job Setup and if you have a setting to set Retract Mode to Partial, then jog the Z down to about 2" above the material and press Set next to Retract Position. This should solve the issues with the retract distance as well where it will raise to the top of its travel.
